What is the annual turnover of TCS

Soon there is also more flights to Amsterdam

According to its own information, TCS Camping can look back on a successful 2017 financial year. Adjusted gross sales rose by 6.3% to 21.8 million francs and the number of tourist overnight stays rose by 8% to around 530,000. In addition to the good weather in the off-season, the growth can be attributed to glamping accommodations (glamping is a word created from "glamor" and "camping"), writes the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) in a media release from Tuesday (3rd . April).

The comfortable glamping rental accommodations, in which the TCS has invested a lot of money in recent years, are very popular throughout Switzerland and are almost completely booked out in the main season. Oliver Grützner, Head of Tourism & Leisure at TCS, underscores this trend: “We see a great need for slowing down, freedom, privacy and individual leisure activities. Camping holidays in a comfortable environment are therefore becoming increasingly popular. "

In the current year, the glamping offers are therefore to be expanded further: two “AirLodges” will be set up in Sion. These are two-story tent accommodations with a kitchen, bathroom and terrace. In Lugano-Muzzano there are four new, spacious mobile homes, each with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen, and smaller new bivouacs in various places, i.e. tents on stilts.

At the same time, TCS Camping is expanding the on-site mobile offer: camping guests can rent a BMW i3 for day trips at ten campsites at an affordable price.

First TCS Camping Festival

The first TCS Camping Festival in Switzerland will take place from 6 to 8 July 2018. The three-day summer festival in Solothurn with a festival village, circus tent, festival benches, event stage, football World Cup broadcasts and other entertainment and supporting program takes place directly on the TCS campsite on the Aare. The number of exclusive parking spaces is limited to 300. Tickets and further information are available at www.campingfestival.ch.

TCS Camping will also continue to expand the digital offerings and provide camping fans with a free information platform in the course of spring.
