Is the industry standard separate

SAP and Bosch are working on new digital industry standards

From incoming orders through production and delivery to invoices: Bosch and SAP want to jointly create new standards for industry for the digital handling of business processes. To this end, the two German groups have agreed on a strategic cooperation, as they announced.

In essence, it is a matter of merging and automating the processes that are currently still often carried out separately and with different systems in one system. This should also facilitate the exchange of data with suppliers and customers and thus ultimately make the entire process more efficient.

Experts from both companies now want to bring their everyday experience from Bosch into the SAP system and ultimately create a blueprint for other companies as well. "Thanks to its industrial competence and technology leadership in many industries, Bosch is of outstanding importance for global supply and value chains," said SAP CEO Christian Klein. They want to map this expertise digitally. (dpa / apa / red)
