To understand this type of weightlessness one obviously has to consider dynamic aspects of movement.
Even with the jump from the diving board in the swimming pool you can achieve weightlessness (weightlessness of the little man, if the air friction is neglected). If the jumper were to stand on bathroom scales and jump off with them, the scales would not show anything during the free fall - the jumper is weightless. It needs all its gravitational force to accelerate itself with g (acceleration due to gravity), it no longer "weighs down" the scales.
Now it is completely irrelevant whether the person performs a free fall, a horizontal throw or even a crooked throw, if there is no friction, the person feels weightless with all these movements. Imagine a cubicle around the person, it would do the same falling or throwing motion. The person would float in this cabin, he would feel weightless - even with the ascending branch of the parabola when thrown crookedly.
Weightless in free fall
Such acceleration due to gravity also occurs on the almost circular orbit of the ISS. You could say that the ISS keeps falling around the earth at high speed - the astronauts feel weightless. However, in practice there are always spurious accelerations caused by the ambient conditions, the space station or the crew. Therefore there is still little gravity, called microgravity. Such a falling motion also takes place on the Kepler ellipses, which the satellites traverse when they orbit the earth,
The state of weightlessness is very desirable for a large number of experiments. However, experiments in a space station cost a lot of money. Fall towers and parabolic flights are therefore used to achieve the state of weightlessness, at least for a short time, close to the earth.
