Digitization, demographic change, a shortage of skilled workers - developments that require a new work culture and leadership culture. “Diversity management” is becoming an important discipline for your management work - and for the performance of the company.

Using and promoting the potential of individual people, employees who work together in a motivated manner, mutual acceptance - these are indispensable success factors for work culture 4.0. Diversity in a team alone is not enough for successful and creative collaboration. Ensuring that the cooperation works - that is the challenge for the management.

You will raise your own awareness of diversity in teams. You will receive tips and impulses on how you can help shape the corporate and team culture. Generations - life phases - gender - introversion / extraversion - on these specific topics you will receive knowledge and insights into leadership, team development and motivation.

  • Diversity - Importance of Diversity and Identity Groups
  • Advantages and disadvantages of diverse teams
  • Basic topics of group development as a basis for leading mixed teams
  • How motivation arises and what significance this has for mixed teams
  • "Unconscious Bias" - Effects of thought patterns and inner images on team leadership
  • Generations and phases of life: needs in the individual phases of life and the effect on motivation, dos and don'ts for "young leads old" and "old for young"
  • Men / women: Promote typical stereotypes, potentials of women and men
  • Introversion / Extraversion: Understanding and promoting the typical characteristics and prejudices of introverts in a world of extroverts
  • Developing diversity skills as a manager and in a team

Methods:

In this event you will receive impulses on how to create a leadership culture and team culture that effectively harnesses diversity in teams. You will reflect on your own perceptions and ideas about diversity. You will understand and appreciate diversity and derive concrete measures to develop your team constructively.

Short theoretical lectures and impulses, group work, partner exercises, individual reflection, inclusion of case studies from the participants. Aspects of team development, positive psychology and positive leadership are included.
