Do you have a question for the foot specialist?

Made-to-measure orthopedic insoles

THE TARGETED SOLUTION OF VARIOUS PROBLEMS

Indications for shoe insoles:

The focus is not on the classic foot deformities such as flat foot, flat foot splayfoot and hollow foot. The strength of therapy with made-to-measure insoles lies in the specific focus on the patient's individual problem. The wide range of options for subsequent adjustments and thus optimization are also an unbeatable advantage of this form of therapy.

Because nobody needs deposits - what you need is an efficient problem solution and thus optimal benefit!

Optimal benefit can of course be achieved with insoles, but this is only the means to the end. The mere fact of owning deposits must by no means be the goal. Deposits have to use optimally otherwise you won't need them.

Algae are then real all-rounders

A variety of pain conditions can be successfully treated with custom-made insoles:

  • Metatarsalgia

FOR OPTIMAL RESTORATION, THE FOOT, INSOLE AND SHOE MUST FORM A UNIT. WE ADAPT THE CUSTOMIZED INSOLES TO THE EXISTING SHOES AND ALSO ADVISE THE PATIENT ON THE RIGHT SHOE CHOICE.

Not all deposits are the same

With the help of insoles, i.e. by simply placing a shape under the foot, faulty statics should be compensated for, step development optimized and pain alleviated. So this little tool can be of great help. In addition, insoles are an elegant solution. As thin as they are made today, they can be inserted imperceptibly into the shoes and changed between the shoes. It is crucial that the insert corresponds to an individual fit and is tailored to the respective problem. In the absence of a detailed problem analysis that clearly outlines the patient's most pressing problem, the efficiency of care is also in doubt. Often people say: “I've already tried it with insoles, but it's no use”.

FIRST, THE ORTHOPEDIC TECHNICIAN MUST TAKE Sufficient TIME FOR THE HISTORY

He has to get an exact picture of the patient's problem: Where does he have pain - where else - how does he describe the pain - burning, stabbing, dull, etc. - under which conditions does it hurt - with which shoes - how long is it how did it come about, what helps and what makes it worse.

Then the orthopedic technician looks at the feet, legs, the color of the skin, the pressure sensitivity, the mobility, the gait pattern with and without shoes, the posture, pelvic and shoulder posture and the shoes themselves. This results in an overall picture through which the mode of action of the insoles can be defined.

NOW FOLLOWS THE FOOTPRINT

Finally, the technician uses a modern digital method to take an impression of the feet as the basis for making the insoles. There are devices that measure the pressure distribution on the sole of the foot while standing and walking. Such a figure provides information about the forces and loads with which the body acts on the ground.

For the production of a perfectly fitting insole, however, a device that records the foot profile is of greater use. This records the topography of the foot with the current vault situation. To the actual state measured in this way, the experienced technician adds the necessary supports and reliefs on the computer in 3-D. This modeling process requires a lot of experience, as both the symptoms and the individual tolerance of the effect must be taken into account.

When trying on the insoles, milled by the computer according to this data, the effect is checked on the patient. He brings the most essential shoes with him for this appointment, so that an exact adjustment can ensure that feet, shoes and insoles form a unit and that there is enough space in the shoes. Several pairs of insoles are necessary when the shoes are very different from each other, and of course they bring comfort through less frequent changes.

FROM THIS DATE, AN OPTIMIZATION PHASE MUST BE POSSIBLE

This means that the orthopedic technician must be able to react to the patient's experience with the insole at any time. The cover must easily be peeled off and the insert changed. Optimizations must by no means cause additional costs for the patient so that they are not satisfied with a suboptimal insert for financial reasons.

WHAT ABOUT OPEN SHOES?

Orthopedic insoles can be difficult to wear in open shoes. We offer you an exclusive solution for this:
In addition to the insoles in closed shoes, we can also produce a pair of custom-made insoles for you at a reduced price of CHF 325.10. You need a suitable pair of shoes, either slip-on shoes or sandals with a removable footbed.

Shoes from the Finn Comfort brand, which you can get from us in attractive colors and designs, are particularly suitable. By adjusting the dimensions, the arches of your feet are individually supported in order to relieve the foot and the joints. This can alleviate or avoid discomfort. Ideal for everyone who is on their feet a lot at work and at home and who takes care of their feet.

DO I HAVE TO GET USED TO THE INSERTS FIRST?

With the modern insole materials, getting used to it is short and usually unproblematic. In rare cases, wearing the new insoles can be uncomfortable at the beginning. Then take the insoles out of your shoes and try again the next day. You will then slowly get used to the insoles. The insoles can be changed at any time, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have difficulties wearing the insoles.
