Learn how to set up Apple Music on your Google Nest speaker or display.

Apple Music is only available on a Google Nest speaker or display in France, Germany, Japan, the UK, and the US.

  • A subscription to Apple Music
  • A Google Nest speaker or display
  • An iPhone, iPad, or Android device signed in to the Google Account associated with your Nest device through the Google Home app


Set up Apple Music on your Google Nest device

  1. Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
  2. Tap on "Settings".
  3. Tap on "Music".
  4. Under More Music Services, tap the Link icon next to Apple Music.
  5. Tap Link Account.
  6. Sign in with the Apple ID you use with Apple Music and follow the on-screen steps to complete setup.


Set Apple Music as the default music service

If you don't want to tell Google to play something "on Apple Music" every time, you can set Apple Music as your default music service.

  1. Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
  2. Tap on "Settings".
  3. Tap on "Music".
  4. Under "Your Music Services", select "Apple Music".


Unlink Apple Music from your Nest device

  1. Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
  2. Tap on "Settings".
  3. Tap on "Music".
  4. Under Apple Music, tap Unlink. If Apple Music is set as the default music service, choose a different music service as the default, or choose No Default. Then tap Unlink under Apple Music.
